U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS HOSTS HANDICAPPED HUNTS
 
On November 4th and 5th, and the 11th  and 12th , representatives at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers B. Everett Jordan Dam and Reservoir will host the fourth annual handicapped hunts. 
   The Corps partners with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC), and the North Carolina Handicapped Sportsmen, Inc. to host the hunts at Jordan Dam.  The NCWRC provides two wheelchair accessible hydraulic lift hunting blinds and assists with planting food plots.   Hunters may bring a partner who can also hunt.  Dinner will be provided by the Jordan Dam staff Friday evening.
     To assist with planning applicants should provide a brief description of their disability and assistance that will be required. 
   The first weekend will be during muzzle loading season and the second weekend will be muzzle loading on Friday and modern gun on Saturday.  Applicable state game laws apply including requirement to possess a hunting license.
